Tiruvananthapuram-Main tourist Centers- Neyyar Dam.

Neyyar Dam.

Located at 30km from Town on the way to Ponmudy. Awildlife sanctuary, a crocodile farm, a lion safari park....are specified features of this beautiful place. The facility for boating in the reservoir and a beautiful garden are the other attractions. The dam is easily approachable as regular bus services are available from Kochi.
It is recommended that rather than taking a safari in which the big cats are rarely spotted, one can go on a guided trek which would cost around Rs 400 - 800 for a group of 10 people.
